The House
St Trinian’s is an exceptional Grade 2 listed country house dating from the early 18th Century. The property has been sympathetically restored by the current owners creating a wonderful home, full of character and architectural interest. Set in about 20 acres of gardens and parkland, St Trinians is a rare house of imposing scale whilst providing a family home of great charm and comfort.
There are several original and elegant reception rooms including a particularly fine drawing room, library and snooker room. The family kitchen is sensibly located adjacent to a laundry room and back hall, and opens onto a delightful courtyard
garden.
The upper floors provide 6 well planned bedrooms, a sitting room and 4 bathrooms. The two impressive master bedrooms overlook the south lawn, each with their own en suite bathroom and dressing area.
To the rear of the house is a cottage that is seamlessly connected to the house, with its own separate entrance, kitchen, charming sitting room and 2 en suite bedrooms. The bedrooms could be used by the main house through a connecting door.
The Gardens and Grounds
The house is accessed through an 18th Century gateway onto a large, gravelled area with a turning circle and substantial garage block. The garages offer huge scope for development subject to all the necessary consents. Beyond is a small stable yard with 3 loose boxes.
The gardens are varied and include a terrace leading to the south lawn, the courtyard garden and very fine formal gardens planted by the current owners. At the end of the kitchen garden is a fabulous glasshouse with two mature and productive grape vines and fig trees.
To the east and west is the park that extends to about 17 acres with a small lake and pond. This would lend itself to those with horses, or keeping livestock on a small scale.
